Unix Joe,
The purpose of this forum is the support of Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) program. Your question is off topic but I will attempt to provide information steering you toward a resolution. First Joe Microsoft is not "screwing" you as you are referencing. Please we ask do not make accusations and/or use language in the forums. Thank you.
There are two programs. The Home User Program (HUP) & Employee Purchase Program (EPP) https://hup.microsoft.com/ and the https://epp.microsoft.com/ Please contact your systems administration section or their respective delegate which program/s were chosen for their employees. Next I recommend you contact the Systems Administration and/or delegate and explain what you are experiencing.
The Home User Program (HUP) located @: http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/sa/benefits/home_use_rights.mspx will provide you with program details. The Home Use Program is a benefit of Microsoft Software Assurance for Volume Licensing that adds to your organization's work/life initiatives. By giving employees the flexibility to use the same software at work and at home, the Home Use Program helps increase employee productivity, reduce IT burden, and promote employee job satisfaction.
With this benefit, eligible employees can obtain a licensed copy of most 2007 Microsoft Office system desktop programs to install and use on a home computer. Employees pay only for media (CDs), shipping, and handling. When your employees take advantage of this program, your organization's bottom line benefits too.
The Employee Purchase Program (EPP) http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/sa/benefits/epp.mspx is Volume Licensing benefit which gives employees discounts on the most popular Microsoft productivity and consumer products. Employees can save money on software products for home management and entertainment, including Windows Vista, Microsoft Office, Xbox games, and Zune (United States only). Since the program is Volume Licensing distribution again I would say please seek support from your companies system administration or whomever they delegate this responsibility.
