MSCRMPerfCounters Performance Counters Load Failure Alert since installation of RU6

Question
-
Ever since Rollup 6, my server has been getting the error MSCRMPerfCounters #17188.
Any idea how to get the performace counters loaded?
Thanks.

If you recycle the CRM app pool in IIS it triggers the error (default recycle time of the app pool is 29 hours)
Microsoft had me run a repair on the CRM 2011 install and that did fix the MSCRMPerfCounters error.
I asked for more details, and they referred me to this post -> http://dmcrm.blogspot.com/2008/08/mscrm-server-performance-counter-errors.html
I hope this helps.

Hi Rick,
This error message probably was generated by Outlook client. Try this:
- Uninstalled CRM client and then ran “lodctr /R:loadperf” on client machine from a command prompt. Reinstalled CRM client.

Hope this helps someone else out as well.

But this error is happening on my server, not the client. I just installed Rollup 7, so I'll see if the issue has gone away.Tuesday, April 17, 2012 5:09 PM

I have been experiencing the exact same issue on my CRM servers [Event ID:17188, An error occured while loading performance counters]. Can you tell me if RU7 fixed this issue? If so I will install and test on my DEV server.Wednesday, April 18, 2012 3:48 PM

I have same issues here, the same 2 errors on my server show up every 29 hours. I have opened a case with mircosoft, I'll post here when they get to the bottom of it. (I'm on RU7)
