what's the difference between workflowId and activeworkflowid? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Looking in SQL at view Workflow. What is the difference on this record between field WorkflowId and field ActiveWorkflowId?

And are these related to Active Process Id and Parent Process Id? If so, how, and if not, what do they mean?

  • As I remember, WorkflowID is a reference to the parent workflow, the one you built.  The ActiveWorkflowID is a reference to the individual instance of that workflow currently running on your entity.

  • Thanks for replying, Wayne but I am not sure that's it. The workflow I am looking at has been executed many times but there's only the single entry in View Workflow.  However, there's a View named filteredProcessSession which has all the individual instances.
