Hello nickbull1,
While looking at your mgadiag results I noticed that the Product Key used for your installation of Microsoft Office Project Professional 2007 is showing as Genuine, but that the Product ID for Project is showing that this is a Volume Licensing installation.
Individual consumers should be purchasing full retail or upgrade retail licenses for Project Professional 2007. Volume Licensing installations are only genuine and valid when installed an used in full compliance with a current Volume Licensing agreement, which are normally used by larger businesses, educational institutions, and governmental agencies. If your use of Project Professioanl 2007 is not associated with a current Volume License Agreement, then regardless of what the mgadiag utility reports, your use of Project Professional 2007 would be nongenuine.
If you lost the key to the front door of your home, and I found it, just because I had the key to the door does not permit me to come in and "make myself at home." :-)

Hello nickbull1,
Would you go to http://microsoft.com/genuine/diag and click the 'Start Diagnostic' button. The site will check that your system has the correct setting to Validate correctly.
Once you pass the Diagnostic page (all green), click the 'Validate Office' button.
If Office pases Validation, confirm that you no long receive the Non-Genuine Notification when opening an Office Product
If Office fails Validation, it should tell you which Office Product (Microsoft Office Project Professional 2007 or Microsoft Office Basic 2007) is failing the validation check. Record this informnation and any other error messages or error codes you see on that failer page and post it back here in this thread.
Thank you,
Darin MS
