Mac Mesh Icon Greyed out - Not Syncing RRS feed

  • The solution I've found to this problem is to uncheck the "Sign In Automatically" box. You can check the "Remember me" and "Remember my password" boxes, but just don't let it sign in automatically.

Ever since I did that, all my problems running Live Mesh on Snow Leopard have disappeared. Yes, I have to occasionally sign in manually, which is as easy as clicking the "Sign In" button, since it remembers my login name and password. No big deal.

Of course, if the sign-in box isn't even coming up, then one probably has to delete the "~/Library/Application Support/Live Mesh" folder.

  • Try what's suggested in this thread - back in October, 2009 - http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en/LiveMesh/thread/219507bf-9a8a-47b7-bef1-f80f17c7c49f
It worked for some people, but not everyone. Unfortunately, if that doesn't work for you, the best answer I can offer is to submit a bug report with logs:

How to Submit Bugs and Live Mesh Logs

Note that you may not receive a response to the bug report, though. It will be transferred to the internal system to be assigned to the appropriate development group.
