  • Hello Louisa_500,

Your Diagnostic Report shows that the Office Products, that you currently have installed, are:

Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 - 103 Blocked VLK
Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 - 100 Genuine

The problem with downloading Add-ins is being caused by the Office Enterprise 2007. It was installed using a Blocked Volume License Key.

As a rule, VLK editions (as well as Enterprise versions) of Office are not be sold to individual consumers. Large Corporations, Large Schools and Government agencies have legal agreements with Microsoft, which assign them a unique Volume License Key (VLK).  Using their assigned VLK to install software provides them with the flexibility of installing on many computers.

Microsoft Blocks VLK at the request of the original owner of the Key (usually because the Key was stolen and leaked to the internet)

~If this key was provided by your orginization, please contact the IT Dept or the Administrator of your orginization's Volume License Aggrement, for your organization's current VLK.

~If you purchased a copy of Office 2007 (either in a retail box or if you paid to have it pre-installed when your computer was built) then a possible cause for this issue may be that if you had your computer repaired, sometimes the repair person will need to reinstal some programs and will not always contact the customer for thier Valid product key and will instead, just grab a key off the internet.  In this case, to resolve the issue you would need to un-intsall Office Enterprise 2007 and then reinstall the proper copy of Office using your valid Office Product Key.

Another possibility is that if you purchased Office Home and Student 2007 then it is your Valid copy of Office and somehow (kids maybe) the Enterprise 2007 was installed using the VLK. And since if any installed copies of Office are found Non-Genuine, the Office Download site will dis-allow downloading of the templates and add-ons.  In this case, all you need to do is uninstall the Office Enterprise 2007.

    I hope that helps,

  • Thank you so much for your help. Microsoft Office was already installed when I bought my computer. Anyways, I will simply unistall the Enterprise version. I was just wondering, which version would you recommend? Is one better than the other?
