Custom View and Filter RRS feed

  • We are using CRM 2011 on premises.  I am creating a customer View.   My question is on creating a Filter.

    I have a field that is a text field, it contains the the year, such as 2010 or 2011 or 2012 or 2013 etc.  I would like to set my filter to default to the current year where the user would not need to enter the year.  That way I would not need to change the View every year.  Is there a way to do that?  The Year field is a text type field it is NOT a date field.

    Year      Equals      2014

    if the field is text field, there is no way yo could set it to this year on advanced find.

    only date fields have that option.
