How can I get data off of a server after the trial version expires?

Question
-
I am currently running a trial version of Home Server on an old PC to see if I like it. I will probably buy an HP LX195 and migrate to it, but I'm not sure I will be able to get the new server before my trial expires. Will I be able to get the data off of my old server after the trial expires? Can I attach my existing external drives to the new server and have access to the files stored on them?
Thanks,

Hi,
personal experience of mine...
An external disk which had been backed up to worked fine as flat file backup on another machine, or you could just reinstall the WHS trial version over the top of your current installation and it will reset the OS back to another 30 days trial so you can then copy off share to share

The FAQ How to recover data after server failure describes also a way.
