Activex warning recently appears - Excel 2007 - connected with WindowMediaPlayer

    Question

  • default Activex controls do not give a warning. I recently added the WindowsMediaPlay to the Toolbox and placed on a form.

Initially it gave no warnings. Then only when I ran a macro. Now when I open the .xlsm it gives a warning immediately.

Removing the Player object removes the warning. Esc removes warning, but no wheeze involving Sendkeys "{ESC}" works around this.

This seems to be related to recent OS (etc) Updates.

    Anyone else observed this ?

Can't find any settings or parameters that might solve the problem. (I only run my own code.)

  • Hello,

You should ask in the Microsoft Office Excel Community Forums.

As the Microsoft Community is on a different platform, we cannot move the question for you.

Once there, click on Participate near the top of the screen, and select 'Ask a Question' or 'Start a Discussion'
