WHS2011 in VMware on Windows 7 PC unable to connect remote access via web

Question

Hello to all,
I am new at windows home server. I have a PC with windows 7 Ultimate running on it. On this PC I have WHS2011 installed in VMWARE. I did all the update, set up backups incl. other PCs and all went fine.
Then when i set up my remote access the WHS2011 is not able to program my router with UPnP. That's ok I thought a I have forwarded port 80 and 443 in TCP. ipfingerprints website gives me these results:
host is up (0.14s latency)
port 80/tcp open http and 443/tcp open https
So then I went to set up the domain with windows Live. Domain: jott1281.homeserver.com
the logged on with my details from windows live and the server reports that the domain is set. After a hour or so I can still not click on the url : https://jott1281.homeserver.com and get a connection.
could you please help me /advise me to solve this problem?
Note: My ISP has me assigned on a dynamic IP address which changes about every 6 hrs.
I have tried the paid Godaddy service and that also results in a screen saying that there is a problem in the setup please try again later!!;(
ps. I have already started from a fresh WHS2011 install
Thanks a lot for your help, Jimmy

Hi,
Towards the router setup, you could read the SBS 2011 Essentials: Router Setup as a reference:

I can access your login page from here so it is working fine. Are you trying to test it within your LAN? If so it almost certainly will not work with that full URL unless your router supports loopback.

Hi Phil,
Thanks for checking I did not know that. Heard about loppback, but did not read up on it!!!;)
And of course the next problem came up as I keep losing connection as my router seems to stop forwarding. I ll be looking for a new router as I have a rar DGT0759A which is impossible to configure without it going haywire.
Thanks I post again when I have a new modem/router installed!!!
Thanks again Phil
