COM API - Are State Values Bit Values or Absolute Values? RRS feed

  • Question

  • The NodeState, JobState, and TaskState values look to be defined as bit values (1,2,4,8,16,...).

Does this mean the objects can be in multiple states at once or will only one bit on at any time indicating the object is only in one state at a time?

The NodeState, JobState and TaskState are defined as bit values for convenience when querying internally for items in different states. For example return all jobs in the finishing or finished states. Nodes, jobs and tasks are only in one state at a time.
