Like so many other people, my machine has mysteriously started generating this error. Here's the output of the MGA Diagnostic Tool.

One other piece of information that might be interesting here. Following up on a suggestion that was on another thread in this forum, I tried running sfc and it found some unspecified problems. Sigh
C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow
Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.
Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
Then it sounds like the Non-genuine issue is being caused by a corrupt file. If the sfc /scannow command was unable to fix it, the only other options I can give area) Repairing Windows using System Restore:
1) Click the Start button
2) In the Start Search field, type: System Restore and hit “Enter”
3) Select "Choose Different Restore Point", Put a check in the box that says "Show restore points older than 5 days", select the restore point that corresponds to the date Before you first noticed the issue.
4) Click the "Next" button.
5) Reboot and see if that resolves the issue.b) Create a (no cost) support request at http://support.microsoft.com/gp/contactwga
c) Reinstall Windows.
Hope that helps,
