Live Communicator 2007 Tapi Conflict RRS feed

  • I have Office Communications Server 2007 running on a 2003 sp2 R2 Standard Edition system and everything works fine, except that every time my users try to call an Outlook (2007) contact with the BCM TAPI service provider (Nortel - Lan CTE Client), the call is handled by Communicator and they can not complete the call. I want my users to be able to make their call with the Nortel - Lan CTE Client not through Communicator cause our Nortel PBX does not support Unified Messaging and we can't integrate it with  Office Communications Server 2007. I've already deployed a group policy to disable the Telephonymode (5) in MS Office Communicator 2007, but the only thing that the policy does is graying out the call option in Communicator interface, stiil cannot complete the calls. Calls can be made only when the Communicator on the client machine is turned off.
    Any suggestions?
