Problem (de)associating MCP ID RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am having trouble re-associating my MCP ID.

I've changed my live-id on mcp portal and wanted to same on partners site. After several various attempts, company excluded me from the list of associated people and sent me a new invitation so i could do this from the beggining.

    1. During this retry I obviously somehow managed to create a new organization. Please delete it from my profile because i can not find a way to do this.

    2. Also when i finally associated myself with the company i had problems associating my MCP ID; I tried to enter my MCP ID to update in my new account and got the following error:

"This MCP ID is currently associated to another organization: .  You must disassociate this MCP ID from before associating it with another organization.  If you need assistance, please contact your Regional Service Center."

    Please help. Thanks!

    Best regards,

  • Hi, ifuc.

I wanted to change my Live ID as well. I ended up having to call them to get the matter fixed. They had an old email address that I didn't use any more. You will need to log into the MS Partner site to gather the partner Support contact information. If you can't log in, you may need the help of someone else at your company who can log in.

Speak to a Microsoft Partner Regional Service Center agent by phone.

NOTE: The Partner web site is best viewed in Google Chrome. Ignore warnings about setting compatibility settings. They only apply to IE (even IE11).

Here is the guide for Partners associating MCPs. Note that the bottom link in the left navigation menu shows Contact information. You can always contact them them for confirmation.

For associating/disassociating MCP IDs, you can learn more at the following:

Go to the following web page, click the MCP and Certifications tab, and then click the Unlink MCP ID button in the middle of the form. Along the way, you will need to log in with your MCP email account (usually, Hotmail, Live, or Outlook):

    Good luck!

  • Hello.

I have a similar problem. I want to disassociate the MCP from my old job, but is not in the list. And i cannot associate the new one neither, the error is:

"This MCP ID is currently associated to another organization: .  You must disassociate this MCP ID from before associating it with another organization.  If you need assistance, please contact your Regional Service Center."

How can i solve this problem? There is any other method than call to support?

    Thank you in advance.

  • That link is not working. Where can we disassociate our MCP ID from an organization?  What is the direct link?
