DRM is broken RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I've usually been a defender of Microsoft products for years but the recent problems with DRM and Media Player 11 are really getting to me. I was using Rhapsody for several months and everything was fine. At some point I turned off hyper-threading in the BIOS on my computer at home and I've never been able to play DRM protected media since then. I've tried to fix the DRM using all the tools provided by Microsoft but nothing works. I finally canceled my account with Rhapsody. The support people at Rhapsody suggested reloading the operating system to fix the DRM issue. I decided that was an incredibly retarded way to fix the problem. I'm hoping this issue will eventually become a very big and hot issue for Microsoft and that will force them to pull their heads out of their butts and fix this extremely annoying problem.
