Need Help- very frustrated

I just purchased Windows Live OneCare from Office Max and I keep getting the error code 0020-80070643. I have read through the forums and have tried all that is suggested with uninstalling Defender and it says I can only do that command with programs that are installed. It's not on the list anywhere of programs running but I'm still getting the error and have attempted multiple times. I have also searched to try talking with somebody and it asks for a 20-digit product key but my product key is 25- digits and so it says that my product key is invalid. Can somebody please help! I'm very annoyed with what I'm feeling like is a waste of money at this point.
