Live OneCare installation issues with Vista Ultimate 64 bit RRS feed

    I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit and recently had a virus.  My Norton virus protection (that came with the computer) seemed to help but then locked up and I couldn't use it anymore...uninstalled Norton and tried to install Live Onecare and keep getting error message after downloading and installing..."the windows Live OneCare service is not working or has been stopped.  to correct the problem try restarting your computer.  If problem persists contact support."

    I can't afford Microsoft paid support...can anyone help please?  Thank you!  ...I am a desperate soldier
