New computer on network RRS feed

  • Question

  • I currently have 3 computers on my network at home.

2 have OneCare installed, while the third doesn't.  The reason the third one doesn't have OneCare is because it is going to be replaced next month.

I was wondering if I could install OneCare on it now, then when the next computer arrives, I uninstall from old computer, and reinstall on new one.

I know I can install on up to 3 computers, but I'm not sure if I can uninstall and reinstall on different computers.

  • You can install and uninstall OneCare as needed.

If you choose to use the Circle functionality, if you make one PC a "hub" you can remove the inactive PC from your Circle from the hub PC. You license allows OneCare on 3 PCs at one time, so as long as your uninstall from the 3rd PC when your retire it, you can activate on the new PC at any time.

Alternatively, you can install the free trial on the 3rd PC right now from http://onecare.live.com and it will be fine for up to 90 days without activating it at all.
