Maybe a verb in this post would claridfy its meaning?

  • I will provde a verb and some more as to allow proper dereferencing of my original idea. My Bad....

How about the use of the Web Slices feature now found in IE8 for use in the user forums?

OK, I thought maybe you were asking for a forum about web slices.

I know nothing about Web Slices except what I just read on Wikipedia, but if it is an IE8-only feature I would vote against it (and I doubt that it will happen). The forums currently run pretty well on most modern browsers, and I don't think MS will want to antagonize any sub-group of users by using some browser-specific feature.

  • I think web slices could be pretty cool for a few things and pretty easy to add.

Dave, while it's IE8 that supports the feature it's really just a microformat at heart . So any browser could easily implement it and it'd have no effect on browsers that don't.
