CRM 2011 - Edit charts XML to create complex dashboard reports

Hi All,

I have been advised to learn how to manipulate the XML of exported charts to create charts not possible within CRM. What precisely these charts will show I have yet to be told. My questions are these:

1. What sorts of things are possible through manipulation of the XML? Is it simply used to change display elements such as colours, legends, scales etc, or can more complex things be achieved such as using conditional rules and math functions etc?

2. If so, are then any good in-depth tutorials available to show how this can be done?

I realise my question is somewhat vague but would be grateful for any advise on this.

Hi,

In addition to Guido's answer:

1- The charts of the CRM almost use all of the ASP .NET chart controls. You could do every customization needed on them.
