Sent Items not saving in Outlook 2013

  I installed outlook a couple of days ago as a desired upgrade from Windows live mail.  It was showing sent items, but when i check it tonight I have no sent items since yesterday afternoon.  Yet when I log into my windows live mail all of the emails I sent today show up.  I have already checked under options, and saving the sent messages is checked.  Any idea what the issue is?
