Possible Application Integrations RRS feed

  • Question

  • What is the full list of application integrations that the Unified Service Desk allows? For instance, here is a list that a competitor supports:

    • Windows / Web / Java / mainframe applications
    • Third-party and SaaS / Cloud-based applications
    • Citrix and virtualized applications
    • Any application or service with standard interfaces, such as Web Services or other available APIs
    • Closed, custom-developed applications with no APIs or exposed integration points
    • Enterprise applications, such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce.com, Amdocs, FIS, BMC Remedy and others

Does USD allow integration to these and/or others?

  • Do you have a specific list?

  • We do not as we think about it as application types vs specific applications or brands.

We categorize types into 4 areas, they are:
Remote Apps, Hosted controls, Web, Windows.

Remote Apps are apps that are deliverd via Citrix as either hosted or virtualized applications.

Hosted Controls encompass the realm of custom integrations and UX components that can be built with the .net platform.

Web Apps are existing applications that are delivered via Browser Experience, that can automated or address via the browser automation model

Windows Apps are any application that can run on windows that is automatable via windows automation methods,  this application type is also used for supporting difficult to automate or very old ( pre 2000's ) application types.

That said, applications need to be assed to verify they comply with automation capabilities, we do not publish a definitive list from the USD side.
