Virtual labs question

Question
-
I havent worked with windows servers for many years and have been looking to re-familiarize myself over the coming weeks. I found the virtual labs which sounds great but I feel like im missing something. When I start a lab there are errors with hardware and no information as to what I should be doing. Ive tried in multiple browsers as well as multiple computers and feel a little lost. Am I missing some accompanying material or are they just blank machines which to poke around on?
Thanks

At the right-hand side of the lab, notice the tab "Content". There you will find the manual for the lab.

Sorry if I left some important info out.
Im using the Technet Virtual Labs, for instance the 2012 Server R2 Overview as well as the Introduction to Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager.
https://vlabs.holsystems.com/vlabs/technet?eng=VLabs&auth=none&src=vlabs&altadd=true&labid=20357&lod=true
It says there are additional instructions but im not sure where I should be looking.
