    Is there a way to pickup a call ringing on another extension.

     No, in Communicator you can't use Pickup function, but there might be some new functions in OCS R2 that could be an alternative function to pickup. release date for OCS R2 is 3 feb. 2009.

    Ok thank you I can stop looking.  I've signed up for the R2 online launch will see if that solves our problem.

    It definitely will.  There is a new feature called delegation that will allow people to answer calls to other extensions.
