What happens if a drive gets removed from the pool temporarily?

Remove Boot Disk from the Storage Pool

Updated BIOS of SATA controller - Storage pool still functioning, but WHS is reporting all drives as missing

Is there a way to completely reset the storage pool without format and reinstall of whs?
