Unable to sigin Dynamics CRM 2011 Outlook plugin RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have the following environment:

    Windows 7 x64 SP1 Spanish version

    Office 2010 x32 bit Spanish version

    Windows Live Essentials 2011 (final)

    We are trying Microsoft CRM Dynamics 2011 On-Demad, but we are very interested in CRM Outlook plugin. We have problems to signin to our trial demo of Dynamics CRM 2011.

    Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 for Microsoft Office Outlook version 5.0.9688.583 installed from IE9 when I was conneted to CRM 2011 On-Deman (Online)

    The error is always the same when we use the configuration wizard.

    "We cannot validate your credentials, bla, bla, bla"

    Log file:

     Error| Exception : Authentication was canceled.    at Microsoft.Crm.Application.Outlook.Config.DeploymentsInfo.LoadOrganizations(AuthUIMode uiMode)

       at Microsoft.Crm.Application.Outlook.Config.ServerForm.LoadOrganizations(Boolean forceUI)

       at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.WorkerThreadStart(Object argument)

    I have tried several things. Uninstall and repair CRM Plugin for Outlook + Live Essentials. Clean the credentials from Windows 7 Credentials Manager, etc. Nothing.

    Could anyone to help me?

    Finally I've resolved the issue.

    It seem to that CRM Plugin only can recognize a password between 6 and 16 characters. My passoword was 19 characters. I changed my password to 14 characters and voilá! the plugin works fine.

    In 2011... it's incredible this kind of errors/bugs. It sounds very old, very similar "netbios/ntlm" old errors.

    Hi Boscai,

    This issue was reported for many people, the most frecuently reason is a problem with Live Essentials 2011 and the solution is repair or try to install this component again.

    Also this is fixed with UR 1.

    First of all, thanks for your answer.

    I've tried repair this component several times in differents combinations: install before crm plugin for outlook, install after crm plugin for outlook, etc..

    Maybe it was a problem with my windows user profile because I've used Live Messenger for a long time. Some people recommends to create a new user account and launch the configuration wizard for this account. This is not valid for me. What do you think about this workaround?

    I'll try it one more time...

    Remove CRM Client for Outlook 2011.

    Remove the folders that are located into Program Files> MIcrosoft Dynamics CRM, also the Microsoft Dynamics CRM folder.

    Delete temporary files and cookies.

    Install Windows Live Esentials 2011 if you will try to connect through CRM Online

    Install Client for Outlook 2011

    Install the Roll Up 1 for CRM.  Click here

    Try and tell us if ur problem has been resolved.

    Unfortunately it does not work.

    The error is the same.
