Windows Server 2012 R2, IE 11 & Java 64

    Pertanyaan

  • Hi all

    I have a Windows Server 2012 R2.

I verify that I have checked "Enable 64 bit processes for Enhanced Protected Mode" & "Enable Enhanced Protected Mode".

    I download & Install "jdk-7u65-Windows-x64" => Java 7, 64 bits

and then I have "Incompatible" for the 2 add-ons "Java(tm) Plug-In SSV Helper.

Does it mean that there is no way to have Java 64 application with IE11 ?

    Thanks for your help

  • Hi

if you use IE11 in Enhanced Protection Mode, you need to have a 32+64bit Plugin.
In case of Java just install 32 and 64 bit Edition of same Version.

  • ask on forums.oracle.com about their support for 64 bit IE.

  • Hi

Ok, Thanks for your reply. I just installed the java 32 bit too... and now the Java plugin helper are "Enabled".

This one allows to start my java application... in 32 bits...

The goal was to start it in 64 bits...

Using Windows server 2008, IE11 and java 64 bits performance were better than in 32 bits.

We wanted to check the same with Windows 2012...

    Thanks

  • Hi,

I finally resolved the issue  with:

    Modify the Windows Registry

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\TabProcGrowth

Add key “TabProcGrowth” REG_DWORD set to 0

    Refer to "TabProcGrowth"
