How to change Project Detailed Page in MS Project Server 2013?

  • Hi Sammy, edit one of the Project Center Views (PWA Settings | Views) and insert the column Enterprise Project Type) - when the view is refreshed in the Project Center you can now determine the EPT for each project.

EPTs can be changed per project in PWA Settings | Change or Restart Workflows

  • Hi Sammy,

There could be several things at play here.  Firstly you need to know if these projects are different Enterprise Project Types.  Specific PDPs can be displayed for different EPTs.  Secondly, if you are using Project Departments, then an Enterprise Custom Field might not be displayed depending on the chosen Project Department.   Thirdly, the default Project Details PDP gets new ECFs added automatically, and the ECFs are ordered alphanumerically within it.  Personally I always create a new PDP to display the ECFs in the order that I want.

Hope this provides some explanation of what might be happening.

  • Hi Ben,

Thanks for your response. First how to check the project types and if they are different how to make them same type?

  • Also - the link from the project center will take you to the last PDP you accessed for that project. So if they are part of the same EPTs, it is that you accessed different PDPs when accessing those projects last.
