Online CRM Data import problem RRS feed

  • hi all,

    im bit confuse the difference between online crm and server based crm.

     

    im trying to import data onto online crm from .csv file...

    but im not able to import data the status shown is submitted and status is not changed even i refresh the crm.

     

    is importing differs for both the crms?

    how to import data to online crm?

  • Hi Vijender,

    The two version of MS CRM are On-Demand CRM (MS CRM Online Professional) and On-Premise CRM (MS CRM Workgroup/Professional/Enterprise).

    The URL below details the differences between the two version.

    If you are using the On-Demand version you can use the data import wizard to import data.

    It takes sometime for the submitted file to processed to give it some time.

    If you are using the On-Premise CRM version and the imported file has been in the submitted state for a  long time make sure that the ASYNC service is running on the server. Try a restart. That sometimes fixes the problem.

  • hi hassan,

                         thanks for knowing the different forms of crm.

     

    based on ur link there is no change in importing the data on to crm( whether on demand or on premise )

    my list is simple 4 rows with 4 columns a small data but still its taken and still taking its time,i could see only one status submitting .

    im expecting system to throw some response like completed or error from crm system or error from database or connection timed out.

  • Did you try to refresh, it takes some time to import, also check asyn service is running or not.

    May you tell me if I can use de Import Wizard Service-November 2009 in On-Premise CRM (WorkGroup)? Where can I download the add-in??

    I need to import many look-up fields.

  • I've got the same problem this morning. A couple of imports in CRM Online stuck in the 'Submitted' state for over 6 hours. Looks like one of the Online WF services is stuck.
