cannot configure satellite TV with WMC

  i had cable set up with my WMC and it worked perfectly and now i have satellite TV and cannot get it set up.  first WMC will not recognize the remote and i have tried and tried. i get to the part where you have to press 0 and it tells me that it does not recognize and then i go to the next screen and press 1 over and over for 15 minutes and nothing ever happens. i have the blaster set up. nothing.

  also, i attempt to set up the guide and it only gives me the cable choices for my area... no satellite option.  PLEASE HELP!!

  I am currently only able to get satellite thru on channel 3 only using the STB remote, which leaves me unable to record or use any of the fabulous DVR functions.
