Win-7 Task Scheduler deleted a task but ... RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I start the scheduler the Task Scheduler says it deleted a task, but when I try to create a new task by the same name, I'm told it already exists.

Every time I access the scheduler, or move to a different group within it, I'm blasted by the message that one has been deleted.

Is there any way to actually delete that named task so I don't get that message all the time?

And not being omnipotent or clairvoyant or having ESP to the level necessary to read your mind like a class 5 xman may be able to do how is anybody supposed to know what you are talking about?

If your issue is a problem using Task Scheduler with Windows you need to find a forum for that.

If your issue is you wrote some kind of "scheduler" program in VB.Net that programmatically can add and remove tasks for Task Scheduler and that program is reporting issues then you probably need to communicate the necessary information in order for others to understand what your issues are rather than just assuming everybody understands what you are typing just because you understand what you are typing.

Nobody has your foreknowledge of information in your head which allows you to type stuff with a reasonable assumption you can obviously understand what it means. But your communication method seems to believe others have that foreknowledge when they read what you type.

A forum for what? Using batch file? Using some form of scripting? How to use Task Scheduler? You have to know what you are trying to use to find a forum for whatever it is you are trying to use.

  • Hello,

Since this has nothing to do with VB.NET I'm moving your thread. Best place to ask is here.

Do you spend a lifetime providing nothing necessary for assisting you when you want assistance requiring all others to guess what you want wasting their time for no reason because you can't provide necessary information for some reason and then whine when a class 5 xman that can read your mind doesn't respond to you with appropriate response? Like Clint Eastwood said recently the current crop of Americans are babies or something to that effect.

It's not anybody elses fault that you either don't know how to find a forum for a question you need assistance with or don't know how to communicate what you need to do for a forum you post a question in or know how to use forums or know how to communicate to the level necessary for others to assist you. You could've just posted "blah, blah, blah" in all your posts for any good it has done trying to get the idea across of whatever you are doing.
