    How can I activate Windows 10? The watermark is annoying. I bought this laptop brand new 2-3 months ago.



    I did this"C:\WINDOWS\system32>slmgr.vbs /ipk [Product Key Redacted]

    got the installed product key successfully, and reseted but the watermark and  0x8007007B is still there.

    Yes,

    This error happens when failing to connect activation server. Since you have OEM system on your PC, contact Acer support directly to help reactivate OS after system recovery.

    with "brand new" you mean: you bought this from a retailer, and it was not activated?

    0x8007007B is ERROR_INVALID_NAME.
    This is not perhaps Windows 10 Enterprise?

    I have windows 10 home

    everything was fine but i had to do a system restore or something like that when i got viruses, i might have factory reseted it,

    i know im missing a kms.txt or something related to kms

    i tried activating my laptop and missing kms, cant connect kept showing up

    Start a command line, run

    what does it display?

    Windows R Core edition

    windows r operating system, volume_kmsclient channel

    partial product key H8Q99

    license status notification

    notification reason 0xC004F056

    Configured activation type All

    pleause use slmgr.vbs /ato to activate update kms client

    i used the command and it said kms could not be contacted

    in produkey it said i had windows 10 home

    When you use a KMS license key, you need to setup a KMS server.
    Why didn't you simply use the OEM license from Acer instead?

    Btw.: the manual for a Predator G3-571 contains an extra chapter for recovery.

    Home is not a supported SKU for KMS use...
    --> partial product key H8Q99 : This info is used in rogue KMS servers and this key was also used to upgrade Windows 7 home to Windows 10 Home without a valid key.

    I suggest you to reinstall this laptop using Acer's recovery or contact Acer's support for guidance.

    Open an elevated Command Prompt. To do this, click the Windows Start icon (bottom-left corner) and type “cmd”. Then, right-click on Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator.

    Inside Command Prompt, type slmgr -ipk followed by your product key. The result should look like this:
    slmgr -ipk xxxxx – xxxxx – xxxxx – xxxxx – xxxxx (the x placeholder represents your product key)

    Double-check the key and hit Enter to submit. If the installation is successful, you see a Windows Host Script popup after several seconds.

    That’s it. The 0x8007232b error should now be removed and Windows successfully activated.
