    As we all know, Microsoft ended service support for Windows 10 Mobile operating system and Windows Phones on December 10, 2019. That means Microsoft will no longer release any update for Windows Phones since then.

    Updating your device is essential; not only will it bring new features but it will fix vulnerabilities and bugs detected by Microsoft. Installing updates should improve the security and overall performance of your device. When a new update is available, Microsoft automatically installs updates on your Windows mobile device when you are connected to Wi-Fi and have enough battery life. However, you may manually install these updates by following these steps.

    Update
    Tap Start.
    Windows Phone home screen with Start button highlighted.

    Tap or swipe to All apps.
    Start menu with All Apps highlighted.

    Navigate to and tap Settings.
    All apps with Settings highlighted.

    Tap Update & security.
    Settings with Update and Security highlighted.

    Tap Windows/Phone Update.
    Update and Security with Windows Update highlighted.

    Tap Check for updates.
    Windows Update menu with Check for Updates highlighted.

    Tap Download.
    Update available with Download highlighted.

    Restart your device to complete the update. Your phone is now up-to-date.

    Windows phone is dead and there are no updates available. You can switch to a different operating system. On Android phones provide regular updates and can change the phone ringtone and wallpaper easily.

    As of January 1, 2019, Duo Support no longer provides troubleshooting for cases involving any Windows Phone 10.x and 8.x devices. On December 10, 2019, the Windows Phone operating system officially reached end-of-life status, meaning Microsoft is no longer providing security updates for any Windows Phone devices.

    As of March 10, 2020, the Duo Mobile Windows Phone app may not be installed from the Microsoft Store or any other source. Do not contact Duo to request an installation code, as no code will be provided to you. This does not affect mobile app authentications for users who had already installed and activated the app prior to March 2020.
