Garbage characters in subject of micorsoft crm 4.0 email RRS feed

  • When User send an e-mail message that the subject contains chinese
    characters via Microsoft crm 4.0 web,the chinese characters appear as
    garbage characters while the recipient opens the e-mail message.And
     It only occurs that the recipient's mail address are outer email.If user
     send the email from Microsoft CRM Outlook
    It never happen,I try to config the registry key of smtpcodepage,but
    no effects.

  • Well, MVP doesn't know everyting including myself. :) MVP will try their best to help since we work with the product so much. However every customer's environments are different.

    In this case, I think it's worth a support ticket to Microsoft, I am sure they will look into the issue more closely, I believed if they identified it's a bug, they will not charge you but check with them first since I am not familiar with the process in China.

    If you figure out what is wrong, please post the answer back to the group so we all can learn from you if others experience the same issue.

  • 这个可能是一个 BUG, 你的 base 系统是不是英文呢? 你们发Email是不是通过 Exchange 来发的。 还有 exchange 是英文版还是中文版呢?

    系统有没有安装 Roll Up 3 呢? 如果有的, 我就不太清楚了, 我建议跟微软开一个 support case,让他们来解决这个问题。 这样会快一点。

  • The Issue which i have described are so boring that  many so- called MVP have no idea.thanks for darren's advice although it cann't solve it.
    1) Base Operation System: windows Server 2003 CHN+SP2
    2)Exchange Server 2003 CHN+SP
    3)Microsoft CRM Server +Update rollup 3

  • 刚刚到客户的系统上去做测试是正常的,你是否做了unsupported而影响到?
