Outlook 2007 XP to Vista not working

  Hi
  I tried to transfer my Outlook 2007 files from my old XP to Vista computer using easy transfer.  That didn't work.  I copied the files, installed Outlook and set up email accounts.  Outlooked connected and downloaded new mail before I could redirect Outlook to where the .pst file was.  I have tried deleting the files, importing, moving and reinstalling Outlook but it keeps hanging even in safe mode and won't start up.
