    hello,

i have a connection problem between NT4 domain and 2003 domain. i am hoping to get some help here. thanks in advance.

    here is the situation.

    i have 2 domains in 2 forests:

    OLDNT4

    NEW2003.local

2 way trust is built between the 2 domains.

    NT4PDC - NT4 sp6 server is PDC of OLDNT4 domain.

NT-FILE-SVR - windows 2003 server joined OLDNT4 domain as a file server for clients from both domains.

    DC03 - windows 2003 server is PDC for NEW2003.local

XPCLIENT - XP client machine joined NEW2003.local domain.

testuser - a user in NEW2003.local logged in to this machine.

share folders are built in NT4PDC and NT-FILE-SVR with the same access right for testuser.

testuser can browse both NT4PDC and NT-FILE-SVR in "network place".

testuser CAN access the shared files in NT4PDC

testuser CANNOT access shared file in NT-FILE-SVR.

whenever testuser trying to access NT-FILE-SVR shared file, the system ask for username and password.

i looked into google and found that some users are experiencing the same problem. what can i do to make testuser able to access NT-FILE-SVR?

    please help.

    Thanks
