  • When you installed your Windows 2003 as a DC, it is already installed LDAP already.

     

    LDAP stands for "Lightweight Directory Access Protocol", and it is the standard protocol for communication between all implementations of network-based directores, such as Microsoft's Active Directory and other directories, client workstations and other software/hardware requiring access to the directory. Since your Windows Server is a domain controller, this server will support LDAP by default as this is how it does the majority of communication.
