Windows Media Service 出現0x8007052e錯誤 RRS feed

  • 問題

  • 版本:Microsoft® Windows Server® 2008 R2 Enterprise 6.1.7601 英文版

    Windows Media Service 不能用。出現以下錯誤:

Plug-in 'WMS Anonymous User Authentication' on the Windows Media server failed.

    Error Code: 0x8007052e

Error text: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.

我嘗試在Windows Media Service 裏更改WMUS_COMPUTERNAME 的密碼, 還是不行。因為伺服器剛做了Hardening, 是否要設定一些安全性原則?

    請幫忙。

解答

  • Hi,

According to the research, we can enable WMS User Authentication on the default Publishing Point to make the user access content without being prompted for a user name and password. Because the plug-in uses Windows user account, you can still restrict access that is stored in an NTFS file system.

If there are multiple instances of the WMS Anonymous User Authentication plug-in in the publishing points (in some cases you would only enable it on the server, but you can override that on a per-publishing point basis).

Here are steps for your reference:

    1. In Windows Media Services, highlight the server name in the left pane (immediately below the top node named “Windows Media Services”

    2. In the right pane, click the Properties tab, and then highlight the Authentication category.

    3. Now right-click the WMS Anonymous User Authentication Plug-in and choose Properties.

    4. Note the user name and cancel out of the properties.

    5. Outside of Windows Media Services set the anonymous user’s password to the desired password.

Depending on your environment this may be a local account or it may be a domain account.

    6. Next go back to Windows Media Services and follow steps 1-3 above.

    7. In the properties, set the password the same as set in step 5 and click OK.

    8. If the plug-in is disabled and you want it enabled, right-click it and choose Enable.

    9. Now highlight each of the publishing points in turn and set the password in the same way. Do this even for publishing points for which the plug-in is disabled, in case you enable it in the future.

Meanwhile, it is also possible to have a different anonymous user for each publishing point.

If you encounter error message when you follow the steps, please refer to:

Unable to start Windows Media Services due to anonymous user authentication plug-in error

    Hope it helps.
