Dear Customer,
Thanks for your post.
This kind of issue can have many possible causes. Therefore, we will have to perform a lot of troubleshooting steps. I''ve lists the steps below, please perform all of them and let me know the results.
1. Are all web sites not accessed via IE? Try to browse www.microsoft.com, what is the result?
2. Ping www.microsoft.com, note down the IP address returned, and then try to access www.microsoft.com via the IP address, what''s the result? If the page cannot be displayed, please capture a screenshot of the whole page because the page may give the reason why the access failed. You can send the screenshot to me at v-rxwang@microsoft.com.
3. Uninstall any firewall, internet security, or proxy software that has been installed.
4. Try to access the Microsoft website by name and by IP using Windows Explorer rather than Internet Explorer. What’s the result?
5. Does the workstation connect to the internet via LAN or a dial-up modem? Please provide the topology of the network so that we can determine how the network is structured. Is there any workstation else in the network experiences the same problem?
6. Verify your Internet Explorer connection settings:
a. Start Internet Explorer.
b. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
c. Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN Settings (for LAN, DSL, and Cable modem users); or from the Connections tab, highlight the appropriate dialup connection and click the Settings button (for dialup modem users). Clear the "Automatically detect settings" and "Use automatic configuration Script" check box, and the "Use a proxy server" check box.
d. Try to access the Microsoft website again.
7. Boot the computer into Safe Mode with Networking and then test the problem.
8. If the issue persists, please perform the following general troubleshooting steps and then test the problem:
Clear Internet Explorer Cache
======================
a. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
b. Double-click Internet Options.
c. On the General tab, under Temporary Internet Files, click the Settings button. Click the View Files button. Press CTRL+A to select all files. 9. This issue can also occur when the Winsock registry keys are damaged or corrupted. If this is the case, delete the corrupted registry keys, and then reinstall the TCP/IP protocol. For additional information about how to determine and recover from Winsock corruption, please refer to this article:

10. Please use an up-to-date anti-virus software to scan for viruses to make sure that the system is virus free. After that, run a spyware removal tool to scan the computer again. For your reference, I have included the following links:

Domain machine means domain computer?
U said Firefox could access internet but not IE, then there will be something setting difference in IE. I assume that the ping command is working fine and could ping internet address.
Then you may see if there is any setting in the "By-pass proxy Setting" under Connection Tab of IE Internet Options.
Could you check it and come back to us?2008年7月30日 上午 05:08 -
