WMVCore.DLL missing when running a program installed in WinSrv 2012 RRS feed

  • 問題

  • Hi, I ran into this error message after installating a program in Windows Server 2012. Windows repled with "The program can't start because WMVCore.DLL is missing from your computer". Apparently this file was barred from registry during installation.  Is there a way I can get around the security measures with Windows Server and have all necessary components installed from the program.?

  • Hi,

Wmvcore.dll is a microsoft library file for Windows media player.  If you are seeing this error then in all probability you do not have windows media player installed.

If it's worth installing Windoze media player in order to play Vindictus then I suggest you do so, I'm still conducting a cost benefit analysis on the matter.

  • Thanks for the reply. The latest Windows Media Player12 did not come with Windows Server 2012 and neither was it available as a separate download as suggested from Microsoft Download Center. How should I go about getting this player installed?
