About Microsoft SQL Server 2005 backup problem! RRS feed

    Hi everyone,

     

    I have some problem for about my company have a Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express and the database is Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

     

    How can I make a backup schulde jobs for the database automaticly?

    The following URL show you how to use SQL Management studio to schedule backup for SQL Server 2005.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930615/en-us/

    If the version of the management studio that you has does not provide the functionality, I think you can install the Management Studio which is provided by you SQL Server 2005's DVD.

    The database it said it can support is as below
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Enterprise X64 Edition
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Standard X64 Edition
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Workgroup Edition

    If you are using SQL Server 2005, Maybe you can have a look of the URL Below.

    You can create db maintenance plan for backup and other housekeeping tasks.
