不能安裝Office 2003 (Error 1324)/Unable to install Office 2003 (Error 1324)

問題
-

I have uninstalled the office through the "Add or Remove Programs", as a fatal error has occurred.
However, when I tried to reinstall, a message of "Error 1324. The folder path '!u?}cl~1' contains an invalid character" popped out.
According to http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B292582&x=6&y=3 , there should be a thread of '!u?}cl~1' in the registry. What is making it worst is that there is none of it after searching the registry.
Could anyone please kindly offer any solution?
Thousands of thanks!

Hi, Xdragonaite,
Before you do it, please back up the registry key before action.
I suggest you try to delete the registration registry key, also, please delete the uninstall key under the following session:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / MICROSOFT / WINDOWS / CurrentVersion / Uninstall
You will see a lot of sub key inside with the encryped number, please locate the one which display name is "Microsoft Office 2007" and delete it.
Before you go to reinstall, I suggest you create a new user with administator right.
Hope it can help.

Thousands of sorry for replying late.
How's it is going:
- I have set another profile, with the power as an 'adminstrator'
- The error still occurred
Some more findings:
From the data of the error report to the Microsoft, as jotted below, I found a thread in the registry of same code(P1):
EventType : office11setup
P1 : {90110404-6000-11d3-8cfe-0150048383c9}
P2 : 11.0.5614.0
P3 : costfinalize
P4 : 1324
P5 : !u_}cl~1
P6 : x
P7 : x
And referring to the registry, the thread is at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\OFFICE\11.0\Registration
(There are two threads of the same code)
Should I manually delete the "Registration", though it is a bit risky?
Do you or anyone have some more clue on how to resolve it?
Thanks! -
