    I am using windows 2008 standard
    after I install domain controller, I can't change the option "password must meet complexity requirements" to disable.

    The password policy is defined in the Default Domain Policy by deafult, which is enforced by the domain controllers that make up the domain

    If you disable this option, you will see this message when you dcpromo
    "The local Administrator account becomes the domain Administrator account when you create a new domain. The new domain cannot be created because the local Administrator account password does not meet requirements.
