the WMI error that VMM gets back after issuing live migration suggests that the VM group or resource is not in the correct state. Are you able to perform live migration successfully thru Failover Cluster Management UI ?

Hi!
Have you tried starting the a newly created VM on the host directly through Hyper-V manager? You might recieve a more detailed description as in where the error lies.
This might be a redundant question, but have you checked if that host has the hardware assisted virtualization feature enabled in its BIOS?
It's very common for Hyper-V servers to work properly up to the point where you want to start a VM and it says something like "Failed to initialize the hypervisor".
