Valid license invalidated?!?!
Question
-
My valid MSOffice 2007 has somehow become invalid. I did install a few new products and subsequently de-installed them...however now my Office keeps giving me an non-genuine license notification. I'm running on Vista Ultimate. One of things I see on other posts is that I need to re-install MSOffice?!?!?

Hello SuhailChogle,
You have two office products installed:
Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2003
which comes up as: 100 Genuine
Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007
which comes up as: 103 Blocked VLK
Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 can only be used with a Volume License Key (VLK). VLK keys are used by large organizations and are not sold individually to consumers. VLKs are blocked by Microsoft at the request of the organization that owns the Key, usually due to it having been leaked.
Since I don't know the full situation, I will provide solutions that fit the most likely scenarios:
1) If you received this Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 from an organization that you belong to, please contact your organization's IT Dept. for assistance in getting thier new Office Enterprise 2007 VLK key.
2) If not provided by your oganization, your copy of Office would have come either included with your computer, or you bought it seperatly. Either way, it would have come with a Product Key and next to were the Product key is printed should show what version of Office the key is good for.
a) If it says anything other then Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007, then uninstall your current Office Enterprise 2007 and use the printed roduct key to install the proper Office product
b) If it says Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007, then you may be the victim of Piracy. Uninstall your current Office Enterprise 2007 and, if possible, contact the person or company that sold you the VLK Office and demand the Genuine Microsoft Software, that you paided for. I also encourage you to submit a Piracy Report at http://microsoft.com/piracy
I hope that helps,

Hello SuhailChogle,
Before deciding what needs to be done to resolve the issue, we first need to know what the issue is. To do that, download and run the Genuine Diagnostics tool (MGADiag.exe) at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012. Click "Continue", click the "Copy" button then “Paste” the report into a reply message in this thread. The information in the report will give me a clearer idea of what the issue may be.
Thank you,

Thank you Darin...
In order to stop the notification I renamed the WGAtray.exe file to .nul and now I do not get the notification anymore.
And here is the report;

Thanks Darin, I think that helped. Our IT installed MSProject that was later found to be a pirated copy, which was then uninstalled. I was given my laptop back after the uninstallation.
If this is the cause, do I still need to re-install my licensed MS Office Enterprise 2007?Saturday, July 18, 2009 10:07 AM -
Hello SuhailChogle,
You can try to change the Product Key used to install Office 2007 Enterprise to a genuine, valid product key by following the steps in this MS KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/895456
Post back to let us know if it worked for you.
