Biography
Alan Shen currently leads the Unify2 Enterprise Voice practice, specializing in things such as bandwidth planning, voice quality, PBX interoperability, edge deployment, enterprise voice routing, and enterprise cellular telephony.
Formerly, Alan worked for 10 years at Microsoft as a Senior Program Manager in the Mobility, Networking, and Office Communications Server groups. On the OCS team, he designed the Audio/Video Edge NAT Traversal solution for OCS 2007, covering technologies such as ICE/STUN/TURN. Alan was also a PM for the OCS Technology Adoption Program (TAP) program, has spoken at several events such as Voice Ignite, TechReady, TechEd, and was recently accepted as an OCS MVP.
Alan have a B.S. in Computer Engineering and an M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Washington. In his free time, he conducts the Puget Sound Symphony Orchestra (www.psso.org), which Alan founded in 1999.
